PINELLAS PARK, Fla., 2014 – Transitions Optical, Inc. has introduced a new education video series and course to provide eyecare professionals with fast and effective approaches to presenting Transitions lenses to patients. The interactive and modular training series includes a self-guided presentation, 17 videos and an accompanying quick study activity guide to help eyecare professionals put their learning into action. The resources can be used individually or in concert for staff training, and are intended to help improve patient interactions – leading to increased satisfaction and practice growth.
The course offers three approaches to presenting the family of Transitions lenses: creating a product experience using tools, focusing on lifestyle needs and using positive language. Videos feature actual eyecare professionals using point-of-sale materials and demonstration tools, and show how Optometrists and Opticians can start the conversation about Transitions lenses based on a patient’s lifestyle and needs. The videos also show how to address common questions about Transitions lenses, such as activation behind the windshield, price, old-fashioned aesthetics and fade-back speed, and show how professionals can turn objections into opportunities.
“Industry professionals tell us that constant staff training, including role-playing, is instrumental to their success,” said Chris King, education manager, Transitions Optical. “Patients are looking for their eyecare professional to recommend the best lenses for them, and these new training resources explain how to successfully recommend the entire family of Transitions lenses.”
Citing research that shows that nine out of 10 patients who try Transitions lenses love them, King added, “The family of Transitions lens products provides a variety of benefits to meet patient needs, and explaining those benefits to patients in an effective method is instrumental to a patient’s satisfaction.”
