You thought Smart Glasses were dead… instead this segment of wearable tech market will be growing. Various market analysts say that Virtual Reality devices will ship 43 Million units by 2020. Head mounted displays including glasses will be the number 1 product. In another study, Smart Glass sales will reach 1 billion shipments near 2020, and will beat shipments of mobile phones within ten years. It is even predicted that by 2020 that the average person will have six wearable tech devices.

At work, Smart glasses are being used for training, operational ease, increased productivity and decreased errors. This saves both money and time. T. Companies such as Boeing, DHL and Volkswagen have adopted Smart Glass Technology. Airbus is using smart glasses, Virgin Atlantic is using smart glasses.

An Epson survey found that a third of white collar European workers believe efficiency in their workplace is hindered due to having outdated IT equipment. Most Employees believe that productivity is reduced by 21% as a direct result of inefficient technology. A Gartner market research institute predicted that companies could save about one billion dollars by 2017 as smart glasses this eyewear enhances diagnosis and repair.
