Coming up sooner than you think is Black Friday (The day after Thanksgiving), the #1 shopping day in the USA. The National Retail Federation reports that 51.8% of U.S. consumers will be doing their holiday shopping online this year, up 5% from 2011. Monday, November 26 marks Cyber Monday. According to IBM Coremetrics, Cyber Monday sales were up 33% from last year (2011), a huge increase even from previous years.
This is also an opportunity to prepare and promote FLEX Time Benefits.
What to do:
1.) Take your old ‘go away’ products and discount to get rid of them. Place in special section with Signage ‘Bespectacled Black Friday Specials’
2.) Order in ‘Stocking Stuffers’ and display around the office.
3.) Make up gift certificates or order Gift Cards and place strategically around the office.
4.) Promote via signage, Facebook, Twitter, FourSquare, your website or blog. Promotions should entail both Black Friday and FLEX Benefits.
5.) Promote through email campaigns.
6.) If you are selling online, make sure your website- products are up to date.
7.) Signage For FLEX Benefits should be put on door of office.. great walk- in traffic.
8.) Consider having an event, particularly if you have alot of stock of ‘go away’ products.. 4 Day only event. ( Friday – Monday) Offer cookies, free AR, a discount, cleaning cloths, Lens cleaners..
