New Online Eyecare Directory

So many directories so little time..manta, citysearch, yellowpages, YELP, expertise, Angie’s List.. the list goes on and one  and here we are introducing a new state- city- national eyecare directory called Glasses Local. Glasses Local started out this year (2017) as a result of several optical professionals wanting a good directory of independent eyecare providers that did not include paid ads or YELP. Wanting greater visibility with the general public, the founders who have  marketing and optometry backgrounds launched Glasses Local. What they say on the site;

GlassesLocal.com is an advanced business directory to help people who are looking for glasses connect with the right places who have them. Enhancing traditional searching methods by introducing advanced, yet easy to use, search features, accessible directly online or from a mobile device. Whether it’s glasses for women, rimless or prescription glasses, GlassesLocal.com offers extensive ways for glasses stores to showcase what they offer, to help you find that perfect pair. And the best part is, it’s completely free to use.

The interesting part, which is the good news, the more ECP’s that sign up and put their information in, the better it will for them to be found online. All those key words, all those links.. are great things for google.

Also, the consumer can search by type of product, by vendor, by price point, by designer, all things you cannot do in other online directories.

Simple and easy to use, ECP’s can input their information with of course adjusted rates.

Check it out, this could be a great thing, to separate the indies from the chains.

  1. Sounded nice until they wanted $99 a month for just a basic listing. Moving right along….

  2. True, but on the other hand, the more optical shops that are listed the better the SEO, and showing up in search. The more chances that a consumer will find you.
